Transportation options vary depending on the Houston Methodist location. Generally Houston Methodist will subsidize one of the following:

Educational Assistance

- Tuition Reimbursement – Houston Methodist will reimburse employees for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level education courses that are job related.

- College Scholarships for Children – Houston Methodist offers scholarships for children of employees who are enrolled in approved programs leading to a degree in health care. (To be eligible, employee must be employed for a minimum of two years full-time with Houston Methodist.)

From our Center for Cell and Gene Therapy, where we are making vast strides in understanding the role of genetics in disease initiation and prevention to redefining the role of nursing in neuroscience, cardiovascular and oncologic protocols, the Houston Methodist team is constantly ushering in new ideas and innovations in caring.

Houston Methodist has undergone an unprecedented period of growth, having recently completed numerous construction projects, including new patient care units and new technologies and services at several locations. This expansion includes:

- A 470,000-square-foot, full-service, acute care hospital in The Woodlands.

- A 957,705-square-foot, 22-story patient tower in the Texas Medical Center with the capacity for 366 patient beds, expanded operating suites, a helipad, hybrid suites and a dedicated cardiology floor with 14 interventional catheterization labs.

- Addition of 45 new treatment rooms, slated for summer 2019, at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital.
