Zhe Kai Ng

I'm someone who’s passionate about science and health—recently finished my Master’s in Nutritional Sciences. I’ve spent the past few years working with mice in the lab, studying how things like red ginseng might help with aging. I love learning new things, staying curious, and paying attention to the little details. Outside the lab, I enjoy good food, quiet moments, and meaningful connections.

I have a strong background in nutritional and biomedical research, with hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques such as Western blotting, ELISA, metabolic tolerance testing, and animal tissue processing. As a Graduate Research Assistant, I conducted experiments investigating the effects of dietary supplements (e.g., red ginseng) on aging and metabolic health in mice. I also supported data management, ensured GLP compliance, and contributed to protocol optimization to enhance experimental reliability. Additionally, I’ve been involved in public health education, motivational interviewing, and service projects, demonstrating my versatility across both lab and community health settings.

I hold a Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Oklahoma State University, where I focused on molecular nutrition and the physiological effects of dietary supplements in animal models. My coursework and research emphasized cellular metabolism, biochemical techniques, and experimental design. I also completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, which provided a solid foundation in molecular biology, analytical chemistry, and laboratory methods essential for biomedical research.
