Urban Talent, LLC is a New York–registered company dedicated to discovering, developing, and promoting performing talent throughout the New York City area. The company organizes live showcases and performance events that provide artists with opportunities to perform on stage, gain exposure, and be heard by industry professionals. Urban Talent, LLC also facilitates opportunities for artists to be featured on New York music radio outlets and other promotional platforms, helping emerging performers connect with wider audiences and advance their careers.

Urban Talent, LLC is owned by Yasua Castillo, a Harlem, New York City native of Dominican and Puerto Rican heritage. He is deeply connected to the urban community and is passionate about identifying and uplifting local talent. Known for his positive character and commitment to community empowerment, Yasua Castillo has been recognized by the City of New York with a City Council Citation Award for his contributions and service.

I organize live showcases and performance events that give artists opportunities to perform on stage, gain exposure, and connect with industry professionals. I also help artists gain visibility through New York music radio platforms, supporting emerging talent as they work to reach wider audiences and grow their careers.

I am the Founder and Owner of Urban Talent, LLC, born and raised in Harlem, New York City, with Dominican and Puerto Rican heritage. I am deeply connected to the urban community and passionate about identifying and uplifting local talent. I have worked alongside DJ Kay Slay and promoted urban artists throughout the tristate area, with artist music featured on major outlets including Shade 45 and Hot 97, including having my artist’s song played on Hot 97.

Beyond music promotion, I am committed to community empowerment and violence prevention in urban neighborhoods. I volunteer with the Good Shepherd Program, giving back to my community and supporting positive youth development. I have also worked as a case manager, helping youth and adults obtain education, housing, and essential resources. Through Urban Talent showcases, I have successfully organized events featuring over 200 performers, creating safe, positive spaces for artists to be heard and supported.

In recognition of my community impact, I have been honored with a City Council Citation Award from the City of New York for my service and dedication.

I graduated from Bronx Community College with a degree in Human Services, becoming the first in my family and a first-generation college graduate. I am currently continuing my education and am on track to graduate next year from the City College of New York, where I am studying Social Welfare. My academic journey reflects my commitment to community service, advocacy, and creating opportunities for individuals and families to thrive.
