About YADIRA CORONADO:
Dedicated criminal justice and mental health professional with extensive experience working in structured, compliance-driven environments and supporting diverse populations. I am currently completing a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Mental Health, with a strong focus on reentry, rehabilitation, and community-based support.
My background includes federal service, case documentation, risk awareness, housing coordination, and client-focused support. I bring a practical, trauma-informed approach to case management, emphasizing accountability, stability, and access to resources that promote successful reintegration.
I am especially interested in roles and service opportunities involving justice-involved individuals, reentry programs, behavioral health coordination, and community support initiatives. Bilingual in English and Spanish, I value culturally responsive communication and collaborative problem-solving.
Experience
I have over a decade of experience working in highly structured, compliance-driven environments, including federal service and community-based roles. My background includes extensive documentation, assessment, coordination, and adherence to policy and safety standards. I have worked closely with diverse populations, managing responsibilities that require accountability, confidentiality, and effective communication.
In addition to my federal service experience, I have several years of property management experience involving housing coordination, conflict resolution, and recordkeeping. I am currently completing a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Mental Health, with a professional focus on reentry, rehabilitation, and supporting justice-involved individuals through structured case management and community-based services.
Education
I am currently completing a Master of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Mental Health at the University of North Texas at Dallas, with an expected graduation in May 2025. My graduate studies focus on correctional mental health, reentry programming, behavioral health interventions, and evidence-based practices within the criminal justice system.
I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminology from Colorado State University Pueblo, where I graduated with a 3.6 GPA. My undergraduate coursework emphasized social systems, criminological theory, and the social factors influencing justice involvement, providing a strong foundation for work in case management and community-based services.
