Testing the usefulness of membrane filtration technology for cannabis miscella. Another Frankenstein built for testing our ideas.  

This was taken while doing LSEP R&D years ago. LSEP is a technique we developed that removes lipids from miscella instantly and at room temp. Standard winterization techniques require very cold temps and at least 24hrs to complete. 

I sold the GC-MS we used for R&D to a customer. Because this equipment is so sensitive, I delivered it from MI to CO myself. My job was to get things done, no matter what it was. I was often relied on to do random things like this because of my dependability. I also somehow became Agrify's designated 26ft Penske truck driver. I was asked to help closed down multiple offices (Lab Society, PurePressure, Cascade and Agrify). Each time, I was asked to drive the supplies back home in the Penske.

Removing the fats from winterization using vacuum filtration. Solvent removal using a 20L Rotovap from AI. All installed into a walk-in fume hood.

Also installed their short path and provided training on these different processes.

Microscopic evaluation of cannabis flower after solventless extraction has removed the trichome heads.  

An experiment I set up for testing the effectiveness of hydrolysis and photolysis remediation techniques. The customer was extremely happy with the results and the SOP I created for them.   

This is what hydrocarbon extraction R&D looks like. This was a Frankenstein build used for testing how to remove impurities from hydrocarbon gas (Butane/Propane). We developed a new product from this work. Cleaning the gas before using it for extraction is very important to the industry. We were very proud of this project.  

Creating CBN from CBD isolate.

Short path distillation of a winterized/decarbed hemp miscella. The CBD concentration was pure enough that crystallization was occurring naturally. This was made while testing equipment from Lab Society.
