Tracy Sachs

Hello,

My name is Tracy Sachs and I have been an educator for 30 years. Art has always been a passion of mine and teaching it is my dream job. My students work in all mediums; acrylic, water color, oil pastel, clay, ink, ect. and my curriculum reflects a multicultural society as well as my love for travel. I recently completed my second masters in Leadership at FAU and hold a Master's in Education as well as Florida Certification in teaching all ages of art. I welcome the opportunity to show you examples of my students work and discuss possible opportunities within your program. 

I began my teaching career in NYC within an Elementary program, then went on to teach in several programs in Florida eventually transferring to high school art. I have led professional development groups teaching the Holocaust through art, as well as organize an annual Holocaust Educational Assembly for over 500 students. Each year my students create an art exhibition for the school showcasing their portfolios. FAU recognized me for the Gutterman Holocaust and Humanities Award two years ago and sent me to Poland on an educational tour.

I recently completed my second Master's in Adult Leadership at FAU in 2024 with the hopes of teaching on the college level. I continue professional developments yearly to enhance my curriculum to address current issues and cultural diversity.
