Todd Pickering

I am from Nebraska with a strong work ethic and have lived in California since graduating from University of Nebraska sometime during the last millennium. All of my family is out here on the west coast now so California is indeed home. I have lived in San Diego, Los Angeles but mostly San Francisco. 

I have opened 5 restaurants in my career. I have worked as host, waiter but mostly bar tender in my restaurant career. Guests at the bar have commented on how I was doing 3 things at once and I think that multi-tasking along with personality is what a makes a good bar actually great. 

I was lucky enough to work in the industry before the advent of the mobile-phone when the wineries and liquor companies would come into your establishment and give tastings and invite you to the distilleries and wineries and wine and dine you. Also working most recently with the craft cocktail company during a pandemic and learning how to make all the syrups and mixings was a fantastic education.
