About Ninna Gaensler-Debs:
I am a San Francisco-based radio producer, story editor, and journalist who’s been working in audio storytelling for over a decade.
Currently, you can find me at Cosmic Standard, where I’m helping to create original content and branded shows as the Managing Editor. I’ve worked with clients like Epic, Dropbox, Oatly, Open AI, and more.
I also run an audio storytelling training program at San Quentin State Prison and help produce the award-winning podcast Uncuffed, where incarcerated individuals develop job skills and share stories about life in prison and beyond.
Previously, I’ve edited multiple podcasts including Get WIRED, Wired Magazine’s Webby Award winning show, AFAR Magazine’s Travel Tales, and KALW’s daily news magazine Crosscurrents.
I’ve produced pieces for NPR, SFMOMA, 99% Invisible, Snap Judgement, Gimlet Creative, and more.
Throughout my career I have been passionate about education, teaching workshops for middle schoolers, high-schoolers and emerging audio producers around the world. I have been teaching audio production in California prisons since 2016. I also taught audio production as an adjunct professor at University of San Francisco for three years.
