About Tiffanie Arias:

As a first-generation Afro-Ecuadorian American and proud Queens native, my journey has been fueled by a genuine desire to connect with diverse communities that foster personal growth and lifelong learning. With each step, my passion for contributing my skills to forward-thinking companies has only deepened.

Recently, I served as a Creative Communications Summer Associate at Hearst. I meticulously documented the 135th-anniversary video booth content, utilizing Microsoft Excel for a diverse group of over 100 colleagues from 9 distinct divisions. I significantly contributed to a captivating 135th-anniversary video, skillfully using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro to convey the company's essence, values, and achievements, enhancing brand identity and engagement. My role involved coordinating on-site and virtual video sessions, contributing to interviews, and efficiently supervising photo sessions, including the successful management of the T. Howard cohort's 2022 Headshot event.

Leading the development of a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation for the Hearst Associate project, I crafted it for an esteemed audience, showcasing my strategic skills. I organized surveys, conducted insightful one-on-one interviews, and executed thorough marketing research, focusing on innovative strategies for enhanced brand visibility and user engagement. I initiated the "Humans at Hearst" project, highlighting workforce diversity.

Visual storytelling and community engagement truly ignite my passion. I love weaving my technical know-how and creative vision into narratives that leave a lasting impact. Whether it's leading in diverse settings, making a meaningful difference, or fostering connections, my leadership journey knows no bounds. Exciting opportunities in the vibrant worlds of photojournalism and creative communications are what I'm eagerly exploring next.聽

Experience

My professional journey has been a tapestry of diverse experiences that have greatly enriched my skill set and honed my abilities. As a House Manager at The George Washington University, I dedicated myself to offering guidance and support to residents, ensuring the safety and security of our housing community, and creating an environment that nurtured personal and academic growth. This role instilled in me the importance of effective conflict resolution and fostering a harmonious living space.

My time as a Creative Communications Summer Associate at Hearst in New York City was an exciting chapter where I actively contributed to the production of a prominent video project. Here, I meticulously documented content and played a pivotal role in creating the 135th-anniversary video. This experience not only allowed me to flex my creative muscles with Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro but also reinforced the company's brand identity and engaged a wide audience.

Transitioning to my role as a Student Tutor at Jumpstart, I further fine-tuned my communication skills. Guiding students through complex subjects demanded patience and empathy, skills that were essential in developing tailored presentations that aided their comprehension.

My commitment to effective communication and community engagement became even more evident in leadership roles such as the Public Relations & Marketing Chair at ALIANZA, Council President of the Multicultural Greek Council, and my multifaceted involvement in the Theta Chapter of Latinas Promoviendo Comunidad/ Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc. These experiences provided ample opportunities to strategize and execute successful communication initiatives while fostering unity within diverse communities.

Education

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photojournalism from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. This educational background is particularly relevant to my career, as it equips me with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in communications. Through this program, I honed my expertise in visual storytelling, photography, and creative expression. This education not only solidified my ability to capture compelling narratives through images but also provided me with a strong foundation for crafting engaging and impactful visual content. It serves as a testament to my dedication to effective communication through the medium of photography and has been instrumental in shaping my career in communications.
