Teresa Liberatore

I work for the Florida Department of Health as a Medical Laboratory Scientist IV in the sequencing lab. I perform daily RNA extractions, PCR, and SARS-2 genome sequencing. Prior to my change in roles, I ran assays in the Hepatitis lab, and occasionally processed, prepared slides, and used microscopy to determine the presence/absence of parasites in specimens for the Microbiology lab. I am a recent graduate of FIU with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and natural and applied sciences with 2 years of dry lab (computational) experience in the Liberles-Siltberg lab performing proteomics/bioinformatics investigations. I am a hardworking, passionate learner, who loves to embrace the opportunity to forge new collaborations as part of a team.
