Taylor Nalevanko

I am currently a mathematics educator located in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. I grew up in Greensburg, attended Greensburg Salem School District, and went on to further my education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In my free time, I enjoy going camping with my family in Erie, Pennsylvania, especially during summertime and on the weekends in the fall. I also enjoy spending my days reading and relaxing.

I attended and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in May 2023 with my BSEd. in Mathematics Education (7-12). Following my time at IUP, I started my teaching career as a long-term substitute teacher at Homer-Center School District where I taught students in grades 7-12 in the following courses: Math 7, PSSA Prep 7, Algebra II, Honors Algebra II. Following my time at Homer-Center, I took some time off from teaching due to personal reasons and worked as an accounts payable finance clerk at Westmoreland County Courthouse. Upon my return to education, I worked at Norwin School District initially as a long-term substitute teacher at the high school where I taught Algebra II and Geometry. Once my time was up as a long-term substitute, I worked as a paraprofessional in learning support and autistic support, as well as a day-to-day substitute teacher. At the moment, I work as a long-term substitute teacher at Hempfield Area School District where I am teaching seventh-grade students in Advanced Pre-Algebra and Math 7.

My most relevant education is my time at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where I received my BSEd. in Mathematics Education (7-12). Since graduating, I have been provided multiple opportunities to gain experience in the world of education. In the future, I would like to further my education and receive my masters in Curriculum and Design.
