Taylor Carmichael

I’m Taylor Carmichael, a biology student with a background as an Army medic and a future nurse in the making. Right now, I’m finishing my BS in Biology and earning certifications in phlebotomy and IV therapy while gaining hands-on clinical experience. My long-term goal is to become a registered nurse, with a strong interest in patient care, health sciences, and building a career that makes a real difference in people’s lives.

I thrive in roles where precision, compassion, and teamwork matter. I bring 4 years of Army medical experience, a solid academic foundation in the sciences, and a passion for continuous growth. Outside of school and work, I’m also a mom, which has sharpened my ability to balance responsibilities, adapt quickly, and stay determined no matter what comes my way.

Since then, I’ve continued building my healthcare foundation by completing a phlebotomy and IV therapy certification program, logging over 30 successful venipunctures, and preparing to sit for the national phlebotomy certification exam.

Alongside my clinical training, I’m completing a Bachelor of Science in Biology, which has given me a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and cellular processes that directly support my hands-on medical skills. My combined background equips me with precision, adaptability, and compassion for patient care, while preparing me for the next step—transitioning into a nursing role.
