About Tali Thomason:
I’m a communications and marketing strategist who helps organizations turn big ideas into clear, actionable strategy. With more than 15 years of leadership experience across nonprofits, higher education, and mission-driven organizations, I specialize in aligning marketing, communications, and operations to support growth, reputation, and meaningful impact.
I partner with organizations that need senior-level strategy but aren’t ready for a full-time executive hire. I step in quickly to assess what’s working, identify gaps, and build practical systems that strengthen brand clarity, audience engagement, and internal alignment.
My work sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. I’ve led marketing and communications teams, built integrated campaigns, launched new programs and revenue streams, guided organizations through leadership transitions, and helped teams create the structures they need to communicate clearly and move forward with confidence.

Experience
Senior marketing and communications executive with more than 15 years of experience leading strategy, brand development, and integrated communications for nonprofits, associations, and higher education institutions. Tali has served as Director of Communications & Marketing for the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations, Vice President of Marketing for Special Olympics Colorado, and Director of Marketing & Communications for the University of Denver’s Ritchie School of Engineering & Computer Science.
Her work focuses on aligning marketing, communications, and operations to support organizational growth, strengthen brand reputation, and build sustainable internal systems. She has led cross-functional teams, launched new programs and digital platforms, guided organizations through leadership transitions, and developed messaging and campaigns that connect mission-driven organizations with their audiences.
Tali partners with organizations that need senior-level strategy and leadership without a full-time executive hire, helping them clarify their voice, strengthen their marketing infrastructure, and communicate with greater purpose and impact.
Education
Tali holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication and Public Relations from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She also completed the Higher Performance Leadership program at the University of Denver, an intensive graduate-level executive leadership program often described as a “Mini-MBA,” focused on strategic thinking, leadership development, and organizational performance.
In addition to formal education, Tali regularly engages in professional development and executive education through programs such as eCornell, with coursework focused on leadership, communications strategy, and organizational effectiveness.
