Stephanie A Nisic

I am a registered nurse from the Chicagoland area who graduated with her BSN in 2019 and began working bedside at a smaller community hospital in the area.

After college I transitioned into a full time registered nurse position within Hinsdale Hospital where I started on a medical oncology unit, then internally transferred to the stepdown unit, after which I was transitioned into the ICU. During my time at Hinsdale Hospital I was involved in the falls committee where I helped to facilitate fall education for my coworkers after reviewing missed events in recent in-patient falls. During my time at Hinsdale I was also recognized by my supervisors for my efforts during the covid 19 pandemic, and nominated for Crains Chicago Business Top 100 Healthcare Heroes.

I graduated with my BSN from Elmhurst College in 2019. During my time at Elmhurst College I was avidly involved in the nursing program by becoming a Coordinator for the Nursing Mentorship Program, where I paired a junior and senior together in order to promote a sense of unity within our program and provide the underclassmen with an individual from who they can seek advice and guidance. I was also involved in various service organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, and participated in service projects both within the greater Chicagoland area and across the country.
