I have been obsessed with documentaries and their power to change the world ever since I watched Errol Morris’ documentary, The Thin Blue Line. By exploring a grave miscarriage of justice, Morris’ documentary had a direct effect on the legal case which led to a wrongful conviction being overturned. I was hooked!

Years later, I read the book Stolen Innocence, detailing how a master manipulator infiltrated the Broberg family and was able to kidnap their daughter. Twice. I couldn’t stop thinking about the Brobergs and I knew I had to tell their story. I had some experience from producing an indie feature and short films, but I had never produced a documentary. I pulled together a team of really smart women and we independently produced Abducted In Plain Sight. It found a home at Netflix and my dream of affecting change was realized. In 2019, we were honored with the Hope Award from the Nation Center for Missing and Exploited Children. NCMEC said that “Abducted in Plain Sight has done more to open the door to the conversations of child sex abuse by known, familiar predators than anyone else in the history of this organization. We have received more phone calls, more letters and more outcry in the past four months than in the past 25 years combined, from people wanting to help children who are being abused by someone they know.”

I would be honored to work for a production company where I can be inspired, learn, and grow while contributing to your slate that will indeed change the world.

• I have been an independent producer for years, working every aspect of production, from IP acquisition to distribution. I’m used to wearing multiple hats and being involved with all aspects of the filmmaking process. I am a self-starter, have excellent soft skills and a love for documentaries.
• I found the story, acquired the rights and produced the documentary Abducted In Plain Sight. I built the team, worked on development, physical production, post and distribution. Abducted found a home at Netflix, becoming one of the most watched docs of 2019 and was recently renewed for another three years. The story was adapted into a limited series by Peacock. A Friend of The Family stars Anna Paquin, Collin Hanks, and Jake Lacy.
• I recently partnered with Atlas Entertainment on two projects. I acquired the IP, developed story and pitch materials but, most importantly, created a lasting business relationship with a major production company.
