With over 20 years of experience in healthcare settings, I have developed a strong foundation in patient service coordination and medical assistance. Currently serving as a Patient Service Coordinator at Texas Oncology in Pasadena, Texas, I greet patients, manage appointments, collect payments, and ensure smooth interactions between patients and clinical staff. Previously, I held roles at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, where I coordinated patient appointments, collaborated with clinical teams to streamline scheduling processes, and trained new staff members. My experience includes working closely with both pediatric and adult patients, ensuring their needs are met while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Additionally, I’ve contributed to quality improvement projects and played an integral part in the LEAN project to enhance scheduling efficiency. In my earlier role as a Medical Assistant at Bay Oaks Dermatology, I assisted with routine patient care, supported surgical procedures, and educated patients on pre-op and post-op instructions. Throughout my career, I have focused on providing exceptional service, maintaining patient confidentiality, and enhancing the overall patient experience.

I am currently attending Houston Community College to complete my Business Management Certification.
