Sean Swanson

I am a recent graduate of Goucher College in Maryland, and over the past year, I had the pleasure of becoming a political intern in the private and public sectors of Washington DC. I got a great sense of the political operations that played out in my office, and around the hill while we were in session. However, the most important aspect of my internship experience and of what I saw around DC, was developing and promoting a brand for the member of congress I represented. It was essential for them and all their staff to develop and maintain a brand that spoke to their constituents. Once I finished my Internship experience in DC and had a chance to reflect on my work, I realized how much I wanted to chase a career in marketing and make it part of my future.

After my college graduation, I joined the Republican National Committee as a Finance intern, helping manage our donor's funds. I primarily worked in customer service and ensured that our donor's contributions were being used in effective ways, and even published work portfolios as a demonstration for our donors.

While in Congress, I also primarily worked in customer service. This means that I answered questions from our constituents and helped them understand the work that the congressman was producing. As part of developing the congressman's brand, I also had to make social media posts on various pressing issues. 

From 2018-2022 I attended Goucher College located in Towson, Maryland, and received my degree in history.
