Education / Training
About Scott White:
I have recently retired from 45 years in education. I have had two similar careers: as an independent school college counselor and as a public school Director of Guidance. I am quite strong in each. I am an expert in college admissions, being regularly quoted in major publications and being selected by the NACAC to lead training for college counselors and to be on the committee that rewrote the rules of college admissions. I am active in the sport of wrestling, competing and coaching most of my life. For the past 25 years, I have run the town's recreational wrestling program.
Experience
I have broad experience. I have worked in a wide variety of settings, day and boarding schools, 6 different public schools and at a college in admissions. I write strong recommendation letters, have a vast knowledge of colleges and the college admissions process and am effective leader and supervisor.
Education
I graduated from the George School, Swarthmore College and Harvard Graduate School of Education. I studied psychology undergraduate and counseling in graduate school.
