About Ryan de Mesa:
Hi, my name is Ryan de Mesa and I have been a Sales Executive in SaaS for 7 Years and non-traditional sales for over 10 years. My experience has lead me to be successful in what I call “stick shift selling” - being able to change gears - pivot, adapt and be held accountable for all types of situations, customers and personas. I have been an overachieving AE and Senior Manager for Mid-Market and Enterprise. I strongly believe my experience blend of traditional and non-traditional sales background plus my entrepreneur spirit has helped me become a great fit for consultative value based selling in SaaS.
Experience
Started in Finance with BlackRock (pre-IPO). Managed a team of analysts and learned how to set up sales leaders for success.
Managed a team of BDRs and worked on managing a small business after BlackRock. This allowed me to learn how to manage my time, be accountable for growth of the company and manage a team to success.
Last 7 years was in SaaS, started as an AE then managed a team of quota carrying reps that consistently overachieved their number. Level set expectations and demand accountability while maintaining a strong team culture was my structure for success.
Education
My foundation was college, but I have always been self-educated. I listen to podcasts from when I wake up until I go to sleep. This keeps me current and on top of my game as a sales leaders. Jeb Blount, Advanced Selling Podcast, and John Barrows are some of my staples. Also, MEDDICC by Andy White is my bible for sales methodology.
