I feel my many years spent in coding auditing and education combined with my previous analytical engineering skills have given me the ability to proactively see negative coding and documentation trends and provide the proper education to reverse these trends.

Working with coders, clinicians, and management staff throughout the years at Mercy Health System, plus the teamwork skills I learned while in the US Air Force, helped me to develop a well-rounded skill set.

• Proactively identified physicians needing education, trained, and drastically reduced their audit failure rate
• Developed streamlined training materials for clinical and coding staff which aided them in developing efficient coding processes
• Created process in clinics to determine patient Medicare AWV eligibility that drastically reduced denial rate on these services
• Over 800 E/M audits completed and over 400 training sessions with clinicians
