Experience

  • Develop materials/resources and provide professional learning to administrators, educators, and instructional assistants in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and/or other evidence-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with challenging behavior.
  • Plan and oversee the development and implementation of programs, policies, and best practices related to instruction using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) for students.
  • Develop and help implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) for students.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for students.
  • Create and assist school staff with the development of ABA programs and other appropriate programs for students that present skill deficits and behavior problems. 
  • Assist in the management of behavior that is deemed unsafe.
  • Provide direct treatment to students with Autism, Emotional Disturbance, and/or Attention Deficit Disorder. 
  • Work directly with students who exhibit inappropriate behaviors.
  • Provide support for staff that work with students with inappropriate behaviors.
  • Work with parents to maintain consistency in implementing behavioral interventions.
  • Design and implement data collection systems and assist in interpretation of that data.
  • Measure and monitor student progress towards behavioral goals. 
  • Provide training, professional development, and coaching on effective behavior interventions and strategies.
  • Collaborate with mental health clinician and other related service providers that are working with students to effectively support students and strategies to optimize the overall program and progress of students.
  • Work with classroom teachers and instructional assistants to model effective behavioral and instructional programming. 
  • Attend all behavioral IEP meetings and collaborate in creating student IEP plans.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, materials, and present in group settings.
  • Travel to meetings, other school sites, and administrative offices.
