I have lived in Japan for the last five years and have had to navigate not only living on my own in a new culture, but also to quickly learn the content and landscape of two new jobs (English Teacher, eLearning Engineer) in which I had little previous experience. Both jobs required a detail-oriented person who could take initiative, work well independently and as part of a team, and to do so in a timely manner. I had to rely upon my skills as a problem-solver, communicator, and organizer to acquire and excel in these positions.

Lead teaching of ESL to children ages 6-10. Improve students’ ability to comprehend, read, write, and speak in English. Teach various subjects, such as math, science, and social studies, with the aim of learning English not as a subject, but as a language.
