Penny Strand

I recently relocated to Arizona from Idaho for my husband's employment.  I have worked in the healthcare field for over 15 years.  I have two children, my daughter Kelsey and my son Cooper.  In my free time I love hiking and exploring the new area around me.  

For the past 15+ years I worked at Intermountain Eye and Laser Centers which is the largest ophthalmology practice in Idaho.  I started in March of 2000 in the front office as receptionist and then through on the job training became a certified ophthalmic assistant in 2005.  Finally I transitioned to Idaho Vision Care in 2024 where I was a billing clerk for the same ophthalmologists whom I had previously been employed with.

I took some general studies college course at Boise State University and College of Western Idaho.  I also completed a certification program for Medical Transcription/Secretary at the American Institute for Health Technology.
