About Pedro Vargas:
Curious, analytical, and driven by discovery, I have a deep passion for paleontology, biology, and anthropology. My goal is to work in fossil preparation and contribute to our understanding of Earth's history. I thrive on solving complex problems, analyzing ecosystems, and working hands-on with biological specimens.
With experience in mechanical insulation, I understand material logistics, project management, and precision work. I also have a strong background in aquaculture and ecosystem design, having built a self-sustaining aquarium system. My ability to adapt, research, and apply scientific principles makes me a versatile thinker ready for new challenges.
I'm always seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and contribute to scientific discovery and preservation. Whether it's working with fossils, ecosystems, or innovative technologies, I'm excited about the future of exploration and learning
Experience
I have a diverse background spanning mechanical insulation, rail installation, management, and hands-on technical work. Currently, I work at Mechanical Resource Services (MRS) in mechanical insulation, where I handle material logistics, small project management, and insulation application for hot water loops and other systems. I also have experience in receiving shipments, organizing inventory, and planning insulation needs.
Previously, I worked in rail installation with Beehaven Inc., where I specialized in commercial and residential rail systems, blueprint reading, and precision tool usage. My earlier experience includes assistant management in the restaurant industry, where I developed team leadership, inventory tracking, and customer service skills. Additionally, I have hands-on experience in construction-related trades such as roofing, carpentry, and general labor.
Beyond construction, I have extensive knowledge in paleontology, biology, aquaculture, and ecosystem design. I have managed self-sustaining aquariums, worked with animals, and studied ecosystems extensively.
