In my previous role as an Elementary School Counselor, I developed a strong foundation that has well prepared me for a counseling position. First, I honed my ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school administrators, promoting a cohesive approach to student mental health. This experience has equipped me with the skills necessary to engage with families effectively, ensuring a supportive environment for their emotional and mental well-being.

Second, my role involved providing individual and group counseling sessions to students, which has bolstered my ability to tailor therapeutic approaches to meet the diverse needs of clients. This skill will be invaluable as a counselor, where understanding and addressing the complexities of family dynamics is critical.

Lastly, I have experience in developing and implementing programs designed to enhance social-emotional learning, resilience, and conflict resolution in children. This background will enable me to deliver therapeutic interventions that foster healthier family interactions and promote long-term, positive outcomes.

When reviewing my resume, you might notice a gap in employment. My absence is due to me taking time to care for my children.  My child-rearing experience has enhanced my talents in leadership, teamwork, determination, and prioritization as I managed multiple schedules, trained others, enforced rules and provided around-the-clock care. I am now settled and prepared to get back into the workforce while practicing as a LCMHC Associate. 

I am enthusiastic about the possibility of contributing to a company as a counselor and am eager to bring my experience, skills, and dedication to any team. 

I have a ton of experience with counseling especially children. My most recent job was as a school counselor at an elementary school. I also had two internships. One was in an elementary school, and the other in a high school. For my practicum I was placed in a private practice that worked with women of Domestic Violence. 

I graduated from Liberty University in 2019 with a Master's of Education in School Counseling and Mental Health.
