I am a Certified Medical Assistant dedicated to helping patients with compassion and care. I strive to create a welcoming environment and make it a priority to address all questions and concerns to ensure every patient feels heard, respected, and well cared for. I am also approachable, dependable, and always willing to lend a hand when a coworker needs support, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.

During my externship at Reddy Care Medical and Castellanos Family Practice, I gained valuable hands-on experience that has prepared me for a real-world medical assisting role. At Reddy Care Medical, I collected blood samples and prepared specimens for lab testing, assisted providers with wound care and vaccinations, conducted wellness assessments for patients over 60 years old, and prepared treatment rooms for patient examinations. At Castellanos Family Practice, I input medical codes for procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10 and CPT coding, performed routine laboratory tests such as urinalysis and glucose testing, obtained patient vitals, performed EKGs, administered injections, and assisted with patient check-ins.

I earned my Medical Assistant certification through Charter Oak Adult Education, where I received hands-on training in administering injections, performing blood draws, and taking vital signs. I was also trained in conducting laboratory specimen tests such as stool collection, hematocrit, and hemoglobin testing. In addition, I hold my California Medical Assistant Certification, as well as certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid.
