Nusrat Sohail

I am fortunate to embody my beliefs in my professional life, fulfilling multiple roles simultaneously. As a licensed New Jersey Administrator and Supervisor, I have served as the Head of School and Principal at An-Noor Academy and prior to this role, I worked as Assistant Principal at both An-Noor Academy and Scholars & Leaders Academy. Before serving in educational administrators position, I have served as social studies teacher for more than 13 years.  

In educational administrative positions, I have been committed to enhancing educational quality and opportunities. At An-Noor Academy, I initiated several programs that were instrumental in the school acquiring accreditation from the Mid-Atlantic Accreditation Association. One of the most successful initiatives was the AP coursework program, which gained significant popularity within the An-Noor Academy’s community. Additionally, I designed and implemented an online learning program using Google Tools for Education during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing teachers with regular support for online instruction.

As a social studies teacher for 13 years in American and Pakistani schools, I was able to conduct lessons in varied capacities. I have taught US history, World History Comparative Religion and Geography in various middle and high schools. 

I have also conducted Hind-Urdu langauge learning programs through the federal funding for twelve years at West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School and Kean University 

I have completed a post graduate program in Educational Leadership offered by New Jersey Foundation of Educational Administration. I have acquired administrators license from NJ BOE. I also have a graduate degree in teaching from Monmouth University.
