Noelani Mussman

Visionary education leader with over two decades of experience designing, facilitating, and scaling professional learning programs that elevate teaching practice, develop leadership capacity, and advance educational equity. Deep expertise in early childhood education, dual language instruction, and adult learning theory. Recognized for transforming professional learning and instructional coaching systems in urban public schools and through cross-sector partnerships. Doctoral candidate with a focus on curriculum and pedagogy and adult learning. 

Noelani Mussman is Manager for Teacher and School Leader Development at DC Public Schools leading cohort-based learning and professional development for the teacher to school leader talent pipeline. She brings over 20 years of experience as a school and instructional leader focusing primarily on early childhood and elementary dual language programs and working to create more equitable experiences for diverse learners and caregivers. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education and comparative literature from Brown University, a master’s degree in teaching from Johns Hopkins University, and is a doctoral student  in curriculum and pedagogy at George Washington University
