Natalie Karapetian

With over a year of dedicated experience as a compassionate mental health professional, I have found a passion for working with children, adolescents, and families, where I have also enhanced my skills in crisis management and trauma-focused treatment.  My strength lies in adapting counseling techniques to meet the unique needs of each client, creating a secure and non-judgmental space that aligns with legal and ethical standards.

In my role as an MFT Trainee at Counseling Partners of Los Angeles from May 2022 to June 2023, I provided individual and family therapy sessions to children and their families in a school setting. Additionally, I facilitated group therapy sessions, conducted client intakes and assessments, and performed child abuse and suicide/risk assessments. I collaborated with clients to create safety plans, offered psychoeducation to clients and families, and worked closely with other healthcare professionals and teachers to ensure effective client care. Mandated reporting, client advocacy, maintaining confidential documentation, and regular consultation and reporting to supervisors were integral aspects of my responsibilities.

Similarly, during my experience as an MFT Trainee at Magnolia Science Academy from April 2023 to June 2023, I performed similar duties, including group therapy facilitation, client assessments, safety planning, psychoeducation, and collaboration with healthcare professionals and teachers, emphasizing mandated reporting and client advocacy.
