Hello,

I'm Professor Hassan. I have been working at Valencia College since August 2010. I have a BA in English, with a concentration in Linguistics and a Master's in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) from the American College of Education. Before moving to the United States, I taught English to non-native speakers in different schools. Currently, I am a professor of English and a Writing Center Consultant.

I'm looking forward to sharing my passion for teaching!

My Bachelor of Art in English Linguistics and my Master's in ESOL have provided me with the necessary tools to convey English concepts and the latest ideas in the field of Education.

I design English lesson plans to inspire and engage students and pave their way to success. I am an expert in promoting student reading and writing in and out of classroom to develop creativity and enrich lives.

I consider myself an enthusiastic language teacher, fluent in English and Arabic. I am passionate about helping students develop linguistic proficiency and obtain well-rounded education. I obtain excellent mentoring, classroom management and lecturing skills. I am a goal-minded English Teacher with experience directing students in essay writing and reading comprehension.

I have taught English both in the college level and at different language schools for 10 years.

Professor of English at Valencia College

I teach Developmental classes to native speakers. The class is reading and writing combined where students learn about the strategies to improving their college reading skills. As well, students learn     how to write a well-organized college level essay. Equally, I do also teach EAP/ ESL classes                         where non-native students learn the skills to improve their English in four different levels:                              grammar, reading, speech and writing.    

Teacher of English at Orlando Language School

 I provide the instructional support to enable non-native students to improve their speaking, reading and writing. I teach combined classes where I have to go over all four English skills in a five-hour class. Nor should I forget to mention that I also teach TOEFL to higher-level students to get them ready for a college/ university program.
