Monica Silva

I am a senior at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth graduating in May 2025. I am majoring in Bioengineering with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Biochemistry. I am doing a 4+1 program and I am hoping to get my Masters in Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology in May 2026. I have a passion for learning and all aspects of science.

In the past I was a Personal Care Attendant for Tempus Unlimited. I would help my client do everyday tasks such as shopping, cleaning, and driving to and from doctor appointments. I was also employed by the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth by the Bioengineering department as a student helper where I would complete various tasks such as clean, decorate, and replenish supplies. 

I graduated from B.M.C. Durfee High School in 2021 where I then went on to complete my freshman year of college at Providence College majoring in Biochemistry. I then transferred to UMass Dartmouth majoring in Bioengineering with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Biochemistry. I have also completed various courses at Bristol Community College and UMass Lowell during summer and winter breaks to further my education.
