Melissa Louise

I am an experienced manager with over a decade  of experience in the restaurant industry.  I have managed multiple restaurants, but for the last five years I have been the sole manager of a family owned pizza restaurant where I am responsible for all aspects of the business.  This includes: menu design, inventory control, customer services, social media management and creating a healthy, cohesive work environment for my staff.  In addition, I have been able to successfully network with local organizations and increased the restaurant's online presence.  Apart from my restaurant management experience, I have also been running a successful online business for over a year, with a revenue increase of over 1000% since I first began.  I am responsible for researching, hunting down, cleaning, photographing and posting rare and collectable items on multiple online selling platforms.

My top values are hard work, responsibility, integrity, loyalty and gratitude. 

I have a diverse educational background that includes both military and civilian training.  I served in the Army Reserves for 2 years as a Military Police Officer, where I gained valuable skills in leadership, teamwork, and problem solving.  After my service, I pursued my academic interests and earned my AA degree from Pierce Community College with a focus on law and criminology.  In addition, I have taken some credits worth of environmental and ethics courses at The Evergreen State College, demonstrating my interest in important social and environmental issues.  My education as provided me with a strong foundation in critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills that I can apply to a variety of professional fields.
