Megan Tate

I am a Biology graduate with a pre-veterinary track.  I have over three years experience working as a large animal veterinary assistant and more than 20 years as an avid equestrian, caring for and riding horses, all of which has deepened my commitment to animal health and well-being.

Alongside this practical experience, I bring strong skills in organization, problem-solving, and teaching from my broader professional background. I am a hard-working, reliable, and dedicated individual who thrives in environments where consistency and care are essential.

I am eager to continue building my career in animal husbandry and ultimately pursue a veterinary degree in the future. My goal is to combine scientific knowledge, hands-on care, and a lifelong passion for animals to contribute meaningfully to the field of animal health.

I bring a unique blend of scientific training, hands-on animal care, and global professional experience. With a B.S. in Biology on a pre-veterinary track, I have built a strong foundation in animal health and care, complemented by over three years as a large animal veterinary assistant and more than two decades of equestrian & equine care experience. These roles have sharpened my practical skills in animal handling and husbandry, while also deepening my interest in advancing into the field veterinary science.

Beyond animal care, my career has included more than a decade in international project management and business operations. I have led cross-functional teams across 18 countries, overseen large-scale ERP implementations, and managed complex initiatives that required adaptability, precision, and collaboration. In leadership roles, I gained expertise in process improvement, training and mentoring, and driving results under pressure—skills that transfer directly to agricultural, research, and animal care environments where structure and reliability are critical.

What defines my professional approach is consistency, dependability, and a balance of both strategic thinking and hands-on effort. I am motivated by work that makes a tangible difference and am eager to continue building a career that unites my lifelong passion for animals with my proven ability to manage responsibilities, adapt to new challenges, and work within a team toward shared goals.
