Megan Griffin

I am an entrepreneur of life’s challenges and adventures. My goal has always been to bridge the gap between the patient and the professional. I think that it is a blessing to be in a position to provide quality and holistic individualized care. My passion in nursing has ranged from long-term care /geriatrics to co-occurring substance abuse/mental health. I enjoy and am successful at working both as an individual as well as a team mate.

Most recently as a detox and respite mental health nurse, I bring a unique blend of clinical skill, empathy, and lived experience to my practice. Having personally faced challenges with both substance use and mental health, I understand firsthand the courage it takes to reach out for help—and the critical role that compassionate care plays in the healing process. My own journey through recovery has not only shaped my perspective but deeply enriched the way I connect with and support others in similar struggles.

In detox, I provide acute care and medication management for individuals withdrawing from substances, closely monitoring their safety and comfort. In respite, I offer stabilization and support for those navigating psychiatric crises, helping to create a calm, nonjudgmental environment where clients can begin to regroup and heal. My approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and peer-informed compassion, always striving to meet people where they are.

Ultimately, my work is guided by a deep sense of purpose: to give back what was freely given to me. I aim to be a steady presence for those in pain, to hold hope when others can’t, and to walk beside clients as they take brave steps toward wellness—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
