I have built a strong professional foundation in data analysis and technology through diverse roles across industries. As a Clinical Research Services Data Insights Intern at LinkDoc Technology in Beijing, I designed and conducted a nationwide survey targeting over 300 medical professionals specializing in ROS1-positive cancer treatment. I developed a standardized process to ensure survey reliability and analyzed over 10,000 medical insurance records, uncovering fraudulent claims and ensuring compliance with government policies. At UCSD Health Information Services, I led efforts to enhance IT systems under university policies, ensuring robust support for gender inclusivity. I analyzed healthcare data, coordinated with practitioners to gather over 1,000 user records, and advocated for inclusive healthcare practices. As a Python Tutor and Instructional Assistant at UCSD, I supported students by answering over 100 questions, developing instructional materials, and beta-testing assignments. Additionally, during my time as an Analytics Tool Developer & Jet Engine Data Analyst at HanDao Tech in Shanghai, I created a Python analytics package, applied machine learning models to analyze jet engine data, and identified patterns critical for predictive maintenance.

As a double major in Data Science and Economics at the University of California, San Diego, I have developed a robust foundation in data analytics and economic principles, maintaining a 3.953 GPA. My coursework includes advanced studies in Data Mining, Econometrics, and Machine Learning, which have equipped me to tackle complex analytical challenges. My hands-on experience includes optimizing a car price prediction model using XGBoost, achieving a 45.5% reduction in RMSE, and developing interactive visualizations of COVID-19 data trends. Recently, I led a capstone project exploring the causal impacts of remote work on mental health, employing advanced algorithms like PC and GES to evaluate simulated data. Another notable project involved enhancing sentiment analysis models by integrating audio and text data to improve sarcasm detection. These academic and project-based experiences underscore my ability to apply technical skills to solve real-world problems effectively.
