About Matthew Batista:

With a strong background in digital brand campaigns, product-first design, motion graphics, and

multi-platform storytelling, I am eager to bring my passion for innovation and brand expression to

Meta’s creative team.

In my current role as a Graphic Designer at Arnold Lumber Company, I lead brand initiatives across

digital, print, and packaging, crafting compelling visual narratives that enhance brand identity. My work

involves conceptualizing and executing branding strategies, developing motion graphics for digital

campaigns, and coordinating cross-platform advertising efforts. Prior to this, as a Senior Graphic

Designer and Marketing Manager at Newport Craft Brewing + Distilling Co., I spearheaded a full-scale

company rebrand, designed packaging for multiple product lines, and managed marketing activations

at high-profile events such as Boston Calling Music Festival and Newport Folk Fest.

My expertise spans Adobe Creative Suite, campaign execution across owned and earned media, and

immersive brand storytelling. I thrive in collaborative, cross-functional environments, working

alongside copywriters, engineers, strategists, and product managers to translate complex ideas into

visually engaging experiences. Additionally, my experience with emerging technologies, including

Web3 and AI-driven design, aligns well with your company’s future-forward approach.

I am eager to contribute my creative vision and expertise to your industry-leading platforms. I welcome

the opportunity to discuss how my skills and experience can help drive fearless creativity with your

establishment. Thank you for your time and consideration—I look forward to the possibility of joining

your team.

Experience

I am a dynamic designer with expertise in branding, motion design, and multi-platform storytelling. With a strong background in digital and print campaigns, packaging, and product-first design, I’ve successfully led rebrands and developed compelling visual narratives for various industries. I’m proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and emerging technologies like Web3 and AI-driven design, and I thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside strategists, engineers, and marketers to push the boundaries of brand storytelling.

Currently, I work as a Graphic Designer at Arnold Lumber Company, where I create brand experiences across digital, print, and packaging platforms. I develop branding strategies, including logos and marketing collateral, and produce multi-platform content such as motion graphics for digital campaigns. My role also involves directing brand storytelling through content creation, internal engagement efforts, and customer site visits. I lead the creative direction for Arnold Lumber’s “Breaking Ground” YouTube series and the “Multi-Family + Commercial” division. I also coordinate campaigns across prominent Rhode Island publications and manage social media content, analytics, and trade show coordination.

Previously, I was the Marketing Manager and Senior Designer at Newport Craft Brewing + Distilling Company. There, I led a full-scale company rebrand, integrating consistent brand storytelling across all owned media. I designed and produced packaging and label designs for six product lines and executed both digital and print advertising campaigns for national and local markets. I also managed government label approvals, ensuring compliance, and created motion design assets for social and digital advertising. I directed high-profile brand activations at major events, including Boston Calling, Volvo Ocean Race, MetLife Stadium, Newport Folk Fest, and Newport Jazz Fest. Additionally, I launched and managed the company’s website from scratch and used data-driven strategies to optimize social media engagement.

I hold a B.A. in Graphic Design from Salve Regina University (2021). My work has been featured in LBM Magazine, where I had the cover photo for the February 2025 edition and contributed photos to the May 2024 issue.

Fluent in English and Spanish, I bring a future-forward mindset to every project. My skills span branding, packaging, and multi-platform content creation, and I’m passionate about creating impactful visual stories and driving meaningful brand connections.

Education

I hold a B.A. in Graphic Design from Salve Regina University, which I earned in 2021. During my time there, I honed my skills in visual storytelling, branding, and multi-platform design, building a strong foundation in both digital and print media. My education not only equipped me with technical expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and emerging design technologies but also fostered my creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
