Marissa Murillo

I have been working in visual merchandising for more the 5 years now and have fallen in love with the event planning role. 

I have a strong background in merchandising and sales, with a focus on driving revenue growth through strategic floor updates, promotional campaigns, and creative initiatives to engage customers. I’m skilled at managing store operations, building vendor relationships, and even organizing events like yoga classes to enhance the customer experience and increase traffic. I’d say my strengths are project management, problem-solving, and leadership, which help me succeed in any retail or merchandising role.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Communications from California State University of Long Beach. During my time there, I took on leadership roles as Secretary of the Hospitality Management Club and Vice President of the Event Planning Club, which really helped me develop my organizational and teamwork skills. I’m also bilingual in Spanish, proficient in Excel, and have a knack for creativity, problem-solving, and project management.
