Marica Brown

Hello my name is Marica Brown and I am currently a nursing student at Chamberlain University. I am a second year and I love every part of nursing so far. From working a PCA I love taking care of patients and making sure they are smiling and doing good because and after my service of care is Provideo. My dream is to RNFA and I want to start by exploring the operation room and getting the idea and know what is heading my way. Being apart of the patient surgery and making sure their care journey is completely as they leave is a dream and the best feeling knowing that I am making a difference in someone life. 

I started to work right out of high school and my first job was at a Dunkin donut in my town and from there I learn more about customer service and experience a great deal of getting to know customers and the little interactions I had with them. 

I later started to work as a Cashier at Burlington before my second year of college and being in that field was very different but It built my skills of communication, understanding and patience

I later started to work at Umass memorial base on career path as a nursing student and was very intrigued and fascinated by everything. I was way out of my comfort zones of communication skills and more in patient care and service. From assisting nurses to vital signs and watching over patients and reporting any signs and symptoms of their health inspired and spark my passion more nursing. While many patients comes from the OR it was very important that I see and find out what they do during surgery and from researching and watching movies and shows my passion for working in the OR has become more and more evident that I found out what it is about. 

I currently have no degree but I started off my journey from high school to Fitchburg state university for my prerequisites and then later (2024) transfer to chamberlain university where I will be graduating in 2026 with my BSN
