About Maddison Pitts:
Hello, my name is Maddison! I completed my student teaching in a 4th-grade classroom at Pasadena Park Elementary, where I designed and delivered engaging, standards-aligned lessons in math, reading, science, and social studies. My Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, along with a certification in Social-Emotional Learning, has given me the skills to create inclusive environments where children feel valued and supported. I excel at using differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, fostering a positive climate through clear expectations and positive reinforcement, and collaborating effectively with teams. My experience leading group activities, facilitating learning, and promoting social-emotional growth makes me a strong candidate for any role that involves working with children and supporting their development. I'm passionate about helping young learners grow academically, socially, and emotionally in a fun and engaging way.
Experience
I have hands-on experience as a student teacher in a 4th-grade classroom at Pasadena Park Elementary, where I developed and delivered engaging, standards-aligned lessons across various subjects. Throughout my time in the classroom, I incorporated differentiated instruction and social-emotional learning strategies to create a supportive, inclusive environment. Additionally, I have gained valuable experience as a substitute teacher in the Medical Lake and West Valley school districts, further honing my classroom management skills, adaptability, and ability to connect with diverse groups of students. My collaborative approach with school staff and families, combined with my passion for fostering student growth, makes me a strong candidate for roles involving leadership, education, and child development.
Education
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Eastern Washington University, awarded in December 2024, along with a certification in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). My education has equipped me with a strong foundation in instructional strategies, child development, and classroom management. Additionally, I earned an Associate of Arts and Science from Big Bend Community College in June 2022.
