Leslie Lopez

Hello, my name is Leslie Marie Lopez, I was born and raised in Greenfield, CA located in Monterey County. I am 22 years old and currently living in Fresno, CA. I came to Fresno to take my first step into the medical field. I attended the Nursing Assistant Academy here while obtaining my Associate's Degree in Monterey County. I planned to create a path toward my goals and have achieved many of my goals since I have made that risk by moving here. I graduated from the Nursing Assistant program in August of 2021 and became certified quickly. A month after being certified I had an amazing opportunity to work alongside The Terraces At San Joaquin Garden and expand my skills. I will be going on 3 years with The Terraces and it has shaped me into a highly motivated individual with extensive experience providing direct patient care in skilled nursing facilities and short/long-term care settings. My ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff, other healthcare professionals, and patients to promote quality patient care. I possess strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and an unwavering commitment to compassionate patient care. I also received my Associates Degree a year later after graduating from the Nursing Assistant Program. The personal life event that I overcame was losing my father to pancreatic cancer in 2010, I knew from an early age I wanted to become a nurse. My passion is to make a positive impact on people's lives and provide the comfort of those in need. As you can tell I am very serious about achieving my goals and being on track. My ambition got me here today and being accepted into the LVN program at Clovis Adult Education. I will continue to further my education after getting through nursing school so I can bridge over to the RN program and work as an Oncologist or Labor and Delivery Nurse. I am independent, responsible, intellectual, self disciplined, and dedicated. That has shaped me into the person I am today and will continue to grow in life. 

I have worked in the medical field as a CNA for 3 years. I am currently employed at The Terraces at San Joaquin Garden in the skilled nursing facility. I also am a RNA (Restorative Nurse Assistant) I am not certified but the director of therapy has taught me how to perform restorative care on patients. I do possess an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts with an Emphasis in Psychology. I have completed the prerequisites at Clovis Adult Education which has led me to my acceptance to the LVN program. I am passionate about becoming an LVN and furthering my education so I can bridge to the RN program and work in either the Oncology department or Labor and Delivery room. My expertise qualities are proven for this position.
