Leslie Hurwitz

My name is Leslie Hurwitz, DO.  I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Osteopathic Family Physicians and have over sixteen years of experience in the clinical setting.  I am actively searching for a part-time position; ideally three full days per week.
My education, training, and experience have allowed me to gain an extensive background in the field of Family Medicine.  I have been a practicing primary care physician in Coral Springs, Florida for the past sixteen years; with the last six years associated with Holy Cross Hospital.  I have extensive knowledge in treating a range of health conditions, including:  hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease as well as a variety of other medical conditions.  I have a special interest in emphasizing preventative care for my patients.  I have taken great pride in developing long term relationships with my patients over the past sixteen years.   Over the past three years I have also become very experienced in providing direct medical care via tele-health appointments.  I am also skilled with the proficient use of electronic medical records.
I am very much interested in gaining a part-time (three full days per week) family practice medicine position and hope to discuss my employment opportunity with you further.

I have been a practicing family physician in South Florida for the past seventeen years.  I was in private practice for my first eleven years and then employed by Holy Cross Hospital for the past six years.

I completed my medical school training at Nova Southeastern University.  I then completed a three year family medicine residency program through Nova Southeastern University at Broward General Hospital, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
