Lacey Bennion

Hello, my name is Lacey Bennion. I began my academic journey at Paloma Valley High School, where I focused my studies on computer science and digital media, graduating in 2020. From there, I attended Mt. San Jacinto College, where I graduated in 2023 with an Associate of Science (AS) in Film, Television, and Electronics. My current venture has brought me to Azusa Pacific University, where I am actively pursuing my Bachelor in Business Administration (BA) with a concentration in Marketing and Digital Media. As I progress in my studies, I actively seek opportunities to apply my skills and knowledge in digital media or marketing, open to broader roles within the business landscape. Anticipated to complete my Bachelor's degree in Fall 2025, I am also considering furthering my education with a Master's degree. I have contemplated specializing in User Experience, although I am keeping my options open to explore other avenues.

The first and only job I have had so far is retail, where I worked from September 2019 to May 2024 at The 99 Cents Only Store, laid off due to the company’s bankruptcy and closure. In my first two years at the 99, I was a cashier. This was instrumental in honing my communication skills, as it provided exposure to a wide array of customers, allowing me to interact effectively with individuals from various backgrounds. This experience not only heightened my ability to work among diverse teams but has also strengthened my problem-solving skills and encouraged frequent utilization of critical thinking. In my third year at the 99, I chose to transfer to the deli department, which introduced me to a new facet of the retail environment. From unloading freight to managing deliveries, I adapted to the dynamic demands of the freezer section, further broadening my skill set and demonstrating my flexibility in diverse work environments.
