Experience
While I have worked with a number of OEMs and resellers over the last 20 years, almost all have been as a diverse mix of outside solutions sales in the technology sector of capital equipment, services, software, and SaaS. In each of these roles, I have often worn many hats, even when not required to, including working cross-functionally with marketing, product development, product management, engineering and technical support. Many of my roles also required being the Customer Success manager, as we often did not have a dedicated person to do so. While I often excelled in sales, I have also found it wasn't as fulfilling for my personality, and I have wanted to move to one of the support roles I listed in Product Marketing or Product Management or even Customer Success. I have always been the highly technical rep and seen as the go-to person, so I didn't need a lot of secondary support. I pride myself on an established record of being a trusted advisor to all I work with and am seen as a direct, thoughtful individual unafraid to present the unvarnished truth when appropriate and in a productive manner. I’m a specialist in bringing troubled clients back from the brink if serious business concerns arise and possess a deep emotional intelligence that I use to closely read spoken and unspoken needs, bringing empathy first and foremost.
Education
One of the reasons I've wanted to turn to Product Management and/or Marketing was my Bachelor's of Science degree in Industrial Design, which was a focus on Consumer Product design. I also worked as a freelance graphic designer of which I did Vocational training for, marketing support for content and assets with my past employers, and acted as trainer of Adobe Suite during my time in 2D publishing. Recently, I've recently taken more off campus training courses from Udemy in Product Management, Product Marketing, AI/LLMs, Agile & Scrum methodologies, and I'm currently enrolled for September in the Product Management Certificate course with UPenn's Wharton School of Business.
