Katelyn Schmude

In May of 2023, I graduated with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Saint Louis University. I am expected to take my NPTE exam this July, and am currently applying for California Licensure. I am searching for an inpatient physical therapy position near San Diego, CA. I am passionate about providing early intervention to improve patient outcomes and quality of life while in the hospital. 

Saint Louis University provided me with four wonderful clinical experiences at Advanced Training and Rehab, Mercy, Saint Louis Children's, and Northwestern Memorial. During clinicals, I gained experience working as an inter-professional team, evaluating patients, determining appropriate plans of care, and conducting treatment sessions. I had the opportunity to work with various patient populations including those with orthopedic injuries, chronic pain conditions, cardiopulmonary conditions, and pediatric athletes. Additionally, I have work experience as a swim coach, peer tutor, barista, and camp counselor, all providing me with valuable social and teaching skills. 

I attended Saint Louis University, graduating with my Bachelor of Exercise Science in 2021 and my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2023.
