Hello, I'm Kasia, transitioning from Pharmacy to Neural Engineering. Currently pursuing a Master's in Biomedical Engineering/Neural Engineering at the University of Miami, I'm focused on bridging the gap between medicine and technology.

Master's Project: Developing a mathematical model to correlate in-cell target engagement with cellular outcomes. This involves:

Multi-Kinase Inhibitor Development: Using data from our lab's drug program to promote CNS regeneration.
nanoBRET Technology: Analyzing interactions with kinase targets using Bioluminescence Resonance Energy Transfer.
Automation and Robotics: Accelerating data acquisition with the JANUS® G3 liquid handling robot.
Quantitative Modeling: Assessing cellular effects by measuring neurite outgrowth in treated neurons.
FDA Collaboration: Enhancing drug mechanism understanding for regulatory processes.
Technical Skills:

MATLAB: Completed 'MATLAB for Biomedical Engineers' for foundational programming and data analysis skills.
Medical Robotics & Microcomputers: Enrolled in courses to enhance programming skills for bioengineering challenges.
Neurosensory Lab Research: Engaged in EEG research to explore evoked potentials and understand neural responses better.
