Kara Schmidt

I am a hands on learning type, that works hard to make people happy. I am passionate about animals, food, the outdoors and better my life through helping others. I am currently getting my associates in business administration and should have my degree in March of 2024. I am hoping to use my knowledge over the past 11 years in customer service, retail, sales, animals, training and my passion to be a better person to have a good career that I can feel proud of. I have been cooking my whole life it's something I'm passionate about. I believe food heals our mind body and soul. So eating delicious food outside always makes me happy. I want to do a job I love and am passionate about. I love animals they are so sweet and loving. It makes me sad knowing that not everybody feels the same. I have four cats myself. They inspire me to do better. 

I have had 11 years of customer service jobs, retail jobs, working with animals. I haven't found the right place for me here in Texas. I've worked a lot of warehouse jobs and realized i do not like warehouses. I would prefer to work in nature, with animals or with food. I would love to own my own food truck but have a full time job as well. 

I am currently getting my associates in business administration at CTU. I feel I am bettering my life by taking these classes. It has taught me so much and made me realize I already know how to be a manager I just have never been given the opportunity to prove myself.
