• Built LAMP and VoIP solutions and configured Asterisk based TrixBox servers for VA Communications. 
• Designed, developed and managed a Prepaid Card LAMP based VoIP system for Tom McVeigh of Dollar Promotions Inc. Programmed in Perl AGI with some C under the Asterisk PBX on Linux, the system has generated over 10 million sweepstakes/VoIP based phone cards.

Part of a small team tasked with deployment and maintenance the company's Telephony As A Service product and supporting end users 

• Deploy upgrades to the UCaaS cluster using Ansible on AWX or Ansible Tower and manually checked that all services are running and that calls work end to end after deployment 
• Grabbed packet captures, logs, chrome console and debug logs for customer Jira tickets and determine if they were system issues, and therefore may need change requests to fix 
• Helped handle 24 hour on-call rotation responsibilities especially during CoVid - aside from regular 9-5 EST schedule.

February 2013 - August 2019 VoIP Engineer 

PennyMac Loan Services, LLC

Led a team of 5 engineers who are responsible for user provisioning as well as the maintenance of our video and audio phone systems. 

• Spearheaded migration to Chef and reduced Asterisk and FreeSWITCH application server footprint from 28 to 8 redundant nodes in two data centers while still servicing over 1.5 million minutes a week with zero downtime. 
• Chef'd and deployed a Uniteme PBX cluster, which allowed the team to migrate over 4000 users and service extensions from our aging SIPXECS PBX cluster across 14 branches nationwide with zero downtime. 
• Worked with Helpdesk and Operations Engineers to troubleshoot and resolve emerging issues and create monitoring and alerts scripts for NagIos using bash and Perl.
• Built and maintained a system that automated the daily download of our Five9 Call Center app to each of our thousand or so agents’ respective windows virtual machines using a combination of perl::mechanize on the server side and batch and powershell on each VMWare instance.

2004 - 2007 VoIP System Integrator/Developer

Designed, developed and administered a fully open source VoIP / LAMP based Prepaid Long Distance Calling Card Business between Asia and the USA.

• Built all the code for the Website, Virtual card management, CC and Paypal Billing and Customer facing call-in IVR Services. 
• Launched H.323, IAX/IAX2 and SIP systems interfaced with the PSTN and Cellular networks through a mix of SIP to GSM Bridges and Rhino Channel Banks to Digium T1/E1 cards. 
• Built the appliances, shipped them and remotely worked with our contacts in the UK and Philippines to set up, test and administer the services. 
• Handled all customer service calls through an IVR in-menu system and LAMP web-callback icon on the website.
