Josalyn Jones

Passionate educator with six years of experience empowering students in culturally responsive classrooms. Currently a teacher and coach at a Charter School in Atlanta, focusing on critical thinking, equity, and growth in scholars and educators. 

I have nearly a decade of experience in K–12 education, currently serving as a Kindergarten Instructional & Culture Coach at Ethos Classical Charter School in Atlanta, Georgia (2024–present). In this role, I lead professional development, provide instructional coaching, and design advisory programs that have improved school culture and scholar engagement. From 2021–2024, I served as a Fifth Grade ELA Teacher and Kindergarten Teacher at Ethos Classical, developing standards-based curriculum and intervention strategies that increased literacy and math proficiency. Previously, I worked as an Instructional Coach and Family Educator at Rainbow Village (2020–2021), where I facilitated trauma-informed instructional support and family workshops.

I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Elementary Education at Brenau University (expected May 2027), with research focused on culturally responsive teaching within teacher education programs. I earned a Master of Arts in Elementary Education (ESOL Concentration) from Relay Graduate School of Education in 2023, and a Bachelor of Science in Child Development Psychology from Georgia Gwinnett College in 2019. I also hold a Georgia Educator Certificate (P–5) with an ESOL endorsement, and I am currently completing a Dyslexia endorsement.
