I have extensive experience leading large-scale server migration projects, including the virtualization and transition of tens of thousands of on-premises servers to cloud environments such as AWS and Azure. In my most recent role, I was responsible for orchestrating the migration of 6,000 servers, serving as Lead Architect to configure and virtualize “steel box” servers for cloud deployment. I have managed migrations for a variety of organizations, including the Department of Defense, U.S. Railroad Retirement Board, and Olivet Nazarene University, handling environments ranging from hundreds to thousands of servers. My responsibilities included planning, cut-over execution, lift-and-shift processes, testing, and go-live support, often during aggressive timelines and off-hours to minimize operational impact. I have deep experience resolving challenges with server synchronization, fine-tuning virtual server sizing, and ensuring reliable cloud performance across multiple cloud platforms.

In addition to cloud migrations, I have extensive networking and infrastructure experience supporting on-premises data centers with Cisco Meraki, Cisco 2900/4500 series, UNIFI, HP switches, and F5 load balancers, as well as Fortinet and SonicWall firewalls. I am skilled in configuring VLANs, VPNs, and hybrid connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments. My technical expertise includes Azure IaaS/PaaS, AWS, VMware, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines, combined with a strong background in security, monitoring, and compliance. This unique combination of network engineering, cloud architecture, and migration execution allows me to successfully deliver complex, large-scale cloud transformation projects while maintaining operational stability and security.
