Jessica Sanchez

Hello, my name is Jessica, I'm a sophomore at UC Riverside studying English. I am interested in joining a workplace that supports my goals as a student but doesn't shy away from relying on me to be a reliable employee. 

Most recently I operated as a Writing Tutor for the University Writing Program at UC Riverside where I was tasked with supporting an upper-division writing course geared towards student in STEM. This position allowed me to develop my communication skills and problem-solving/assessment as I often interacted with students who often had many questions or had no clue where to begin. I also aided in teaching and planning writing workshops to introduce new methods or concepts for more effective writing. Prior to this experience I spent four years supporting my father's appliance business, I was a helping hand in the delivery and installation, I operated as a receptionist by answering calls and keeping records of purchases, repairs, etc., and in general I was part of an effort to create a client base for my fathers new business. 

Currently I am studying English at the University of California, Riverside. I am working towards a B.A. in English and I plan to pursue an M.Ed + Teaching Credential after the completion of my undergrad.
